VALENTINA MAGGIOLO

Valentina Maggiolo began her studies in Geography and Environmental Studies. After a career change, she transferred to the College of Art and graduated with a BFA in Painting and Art History from the Rhode Island School of Design. The themes explored mainly in her painting are time, its elasticity and the existence of the human being within it. These explorations take place through semi-figurative landscapes with animal, vegetable and mineral elements. Her inspiration stems from her love of pre-Columbian archaeology, rocks and bones.

NATURES VOICES

PRESENTED IN VASTO

EXHIBITION OPENING
6-SEPT 2024, 17:00H - 22:00H
ON VIEW
7-23 - SEPT, 2024

On show at the gallery Vasto, the exhibition “Nature’s Voices” gathers the mixed-media works of thirteen artists who, all together, celebrate the resilient beauty of nature. While the organic elements are under strain from their various relations with humanity, the exhibition creates a dialogue between art and ecology to sublimate their timelessness, their ever-changing textures, their ornamental geniusness, the very life they manage to perpetuate beyond all forms of attack on their integrity. Quiet yet sensual, whimsical yet wise, nature stands for itself, ever pushing forwards its own ecologies in order to remain by creating new worlds.
