"We celebrate an underground diversity, our shared home. In the dark mantle of the Earth, unknown species thrive, and though some may see them as pests, all have a place in the wonderful tapestry of life. Parasites that cause plagues unintentionally remind us of our fragility and the importance of prevention and care. Despite their reputation, these subterranean beings teach us about resilience and adaptation. Through our upbringing, we learn to respect and coexist with them. In every dish, we celebrate the interconnectedness of all forms of life, in an eternal dance of dependence and harmony."Maggiolo and Gavonel aligned their vision and joined their practices to create a set of crockery composed of plates, bowls, glasses and cups.

Valentina Maggiolo through her paintings explores the concept of time, its elasticity and the existence of the human being within it. These explorations take place through semi-figurative landscapes with animal, vegetable and mineral elements. Her inspiration stems from her love of pre-Columbian archaeology, rocks and bones.Aileen Gavonel’s artistic practice is committed to rethinking craft techniques and ancient forms of production from the concerns of the place and the moment in which she lives. Her concerns address and intersect questions about the healing and ritual dimension of objects. Through her practice, she explores the limits between science and religion, body and spirit, through a material investigation with ceramics, drawing and poetic narrative.
