ANDRE BAEZA

(Guadalajara, Jal, Mexico, 1998)

Andre Baeza is a transmedia artist, focused on sculpture, language and living arts. Her practice is based on the study of the human psyche, analyzing its manifestations and the multiple possibilities of realitiy perception and how to inhabit them, always taking into consideration the being’s capacity of permeability with its environment.

Departing from daily experiences, the artist observes in depth patterns and psycho-behavioral processes at both personal and sociocultural levels.

Baeza pays special attention to various aspects of the human’s psyque relational mechanics in everyday life, such as internal monologues, the multifaceted quality of the being, the way in which realities coexist simultaneously, the ambiguity of thought and play as a mechanism. All this is transferred and embodied in her work.

Andre is currently studying a Visual Arts Degree at the Superior School of Architecture and Visual Arts of Guadalajara, Mexico. Her work has been shown at Laguna Mx, Petate, Anfora Stu- dio, Impronta Casa Editora, ESARQ, Tapalpa Cultural House, Ito Studio, Lácuna, Dust and Soul Madrid, Casa Aranguren, Werkhaus, among others.
