NIVEAU ZÉRO ATELIER Paris, b. 2020
Niveau Zéro Atelier is a research and creative studio; embracing a collective practice in which questions of usage, resources, and territorial exploration are paramount, thereby asserting a political stance while seeking to develop aesthetic coherence.
The collective was established in Paris in 2020 as a result of projects carried out in parallel with their studies. Through the tools of architecture, art, and design, the workshop develops a practice focused on investigating the territory, as well as the uses and relationships that unfold within it.
By implementing a localized working method, the aim is to engage in a creative cycle with the places that host it. This approach results in a multi-scale practice, ranging from experimental to highly functional, which can involve both speculation and straightforward construction.
Niveau Zéro Atelier was the recipient of the ADAGP 2020 Design Revelation Award and the 2020 Faire Paris Award for the M.E.G.A research project. Their work has been showcased at events such as the Salone del Mobile in Milan, ADAGP in Paris, and Het Hem in Amsterdam. In 2022, they received the Enowe Artagon Grant and the Format Grant.
